Georgia Lottery

Years before, a liquor tax,

Education’s cost ever off our backs;

Now this time, a brand new line,

A lottery will do just fine.

Woe to the State that entices,

To profit from its people’s vices!

The politicians say they wont remember,

The promise of that long gone November;

Liquor then would solve our ills,

It is just the stuff that kills.

Now this time the packaged line,

A lottery will do just fine.

Woe to the State that entices,

To profit from its people’s vices!

Shall the people be made a fool,

Who twice forget the Golden Rule?

When lust for gain through us runs wild,

Will it reach to ensnare your child?

Woe to the ones who entice,

To profit from another’s vice!
