Elton John’s 60^th Birthday Revenge

            Probably everyone is aware that Elton John, the homosexual pop singer turned 60 on the 25^th of March 2007. The media hyped that fact enough. It may not have really locked into your attention that the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, the world’s biggest cathedral, was the site for his private dinner for “friends and family.” According to his website, his friends included Tony Bennett, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Caine, Lawrence Fishburne, Whoopi Goldberg, Kid Rock, Sharon Stone, Billie Jean King, Donatella Versace, Barbara Walters, Robin Williams, Bette Midler, and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. A truly holy minded crew for a cathedral gathering indeed!

            Perhaps you did not ask yourself why this man would want his “private party” in a cathedral? This is the man who said in an interview focusing on his sexuality and gay musicians that organized religion "turns people into hateful lemmings." He also said that if it were left up to him he would ban religion altogether. So what was going on here? There is a clue in the New York Post report that “in keeping with the religious atmosphere, tables were adorned with silver drinking chalices.” I would suggest to you that this little wingding was a deliberate act of blasphemy and demonstration of contempt for Christianity. The altar and sanctuary were converted to a stage for performances by Sting, Paul McCartney, and the rock group Scissor Sisters.

            Why was this cathedral of all places chosen since Elton John makes his “home” in Atlanta? Research on the Internet reveals that in 2004 Episcopal diocese in New York joined the protest over the ordination of a sodomite bishop. They did so in the belief there was an active movement, as the Reverend Keith Owen rector of St. Paul's Church in Albany said: "Some in this network have made it clear that their agenda is to overthrow the Episcopal Church." Using this cathedral and desecrating its sanctuary was an excellent way for Sir Elton John to rub the noses of traditional Episcopalians and Christendom in general in the mire of his perversion demonstrating that in the end their facilities and their ethics are for sale! Judas was short on money when he betrayed Jesus too!
